Bluewater Dance Theatre 2024 Season

Bluewater Dance Theatre returns to the stage in September, 2024. Throughout the summer, area dancers will work with artistic director/choreographer Brandon Harneck to create two new works and re-stage his 2022 ballet, "Alice in Wonderland". Our 2024 dance production will consist of:

Act One:

Alice in Wonderland (Ballet) - Based on Lewis Carroll's 1865 novel, "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland", this one-act contemporary-ballet follows Alice down the rabbit hole to meet iconic characters such as the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and the delightfully wicked Queen of Hearts.

Act Two:

Flux (Contemporary/Jazz) - This piece portrays the relationship between humanity and technology, including themes of connection, rebellion, and creativity. It dives into how we interact with artificial intelligence and the ever-changing landscape of technology, showing our adaptability in this digital world.
Echoes of Resilience (Contemporary) - Weaving together the nostalgic melodies of the 1940s, this piece explores themes of hope, optimism, and the perseverance of the human spirit amidst the backdrop of war, echoing the timeless resilience that transcends generations.
